It is normal for you to fear criticism, disapproval, or social rejection. But don’t view all criticism as hostile or threatening to your integrated personhood. Objectively examine and understand your reaction to provocation. Is it possible that perceived ‘attacks’ are justified, and are opportunities for positive change? Gracefully and appreciatively accept constructive criticism. When unfairly evaluated, falsely accused, or harassed, you must confidently defend yourself with truth and facts. Ignore harsh, spiteful, unconstructive criticism.
In life you must also demonstrate sensitivity to the challenges, feeling states, and needs of others. Engage people with your innate compassion and empathy. Understand and respond to their fears, hopes, and joys.
